DIY Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse

Apple cider vinegar has so many benefits. If you’ve ever struggled with hair issues and are looking for something help, an apple cider vinegar rinse may be worth trying.

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) hair rinses are popular for their potential benefits, such as improving scalp health, adding shine, and balancing hair pH. Making a DIY apple cider vinegar hair rinse is simple and requires only a few ingredients.

Even using natural shampoo, I find that I get buildup on my hair, and the ACV rinse helps.

Ingredients Needed

~ 2-4 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar (we are a fan of Bragg’s ACV)
~ 16 oz water
~ spray bottle or container

Mix the Apple Cider Vinegar with water.

You can choose to spray or pour this mix on to your hair.

First, wash your hair with your regular shampoo and rinse thoroughly.

Apply the apple cider vinegar rinse. Gently massage into your hair and scalp for even coverage.

Allow to soak in for 3-5 minutes.

Rinse your hair thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water. Make sure to remove all the vinegar solution from your hair.

If your hair is prone to dryness, you can follow the ACV rinse with conditioner, focusing on the ends of your hair.

Use the ACV rinse weekly or every other week, as you don’t want it to dry out your hair.

Keep in mind that the acidity of the vinegar can cause irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin. Therefore, you can adjust the strength of the vinegar or the length of time you leave it on.
